Does term insurance have value as an investment?
No. term insurance is pure insurance. It is also the lowest cost form of Life Insurance. Life Insurance as an investment is questionable at best. As with any insurance you should clearly define your objectives and the solution will be clear.
Term insurance is not an investment, it is life insurance.
It is considered pure life insurance protection, since it builds no cash value inside the policy.
Permanent life insurance may build up some cash value inside your policy over time from which you may take a loan.
Permanent life may cost up to 2-3 times more than term life insurance because term life is temporary and has no cash value.
